Nowadays, people wonder whether or not a college education really gets you as far as people say. With the way the economy is going it’s going to get harder and harder to find a job. So having a college education will probably help you find and get a job since you would be more qualified than those who haven’t had one. And you can’t expect to walk of your school campus on graduation day and find a job like a few decades ago.
The generations before us had it a little easier. If you had a college degree you pretty much could find a job right after you graduate. Today, some jobs pay better than others based on the state of the economy and that industry. So if you want to make a decent living it’s not really just about having a job you like but one that pays well also. For some people having a college education is more than just making money. It’s also having that sense of fulfillment, wanting learn more, and quenching their thirst for knowledge. So having a college education today might be different from a few decades ago, but it will get you pretty far and help you along your way to the career choice you want and a financially stable life.

A college education is as critical to a person’s success today as it has always been in the past. In today’s world, college bound students have the opportunity to enter a multitude of very specific fields of study. To a future college student, this means that middle school and high school should be a time of intense exploration. I believe that students should try a variety of activities to explore their interests and recognize their talents. This type of approach to learning will help students make better decisions about their future college track.
