Technology and Kids- Crystal Hoang and Mr. Britton

With all the new technology developing today are kids now less imaginative?

Yes, I think kids today are less imaginative than kids 8+ years ago. When we had no iPads, iPhones, tablets, and Kindles, we'd go outside and make up games and we would make something fun out of what we had and that was normal. Although, I think there are still kids now who use their imagination and creativity to have fun but just not as much as there were before. For kids today who don't have access to the new technologies, most likely, they have their own way of having fun and passing time but that doesn't mean they don't crave for the newest thing out. Video games are also a huge part of today's youth and kids can play on their X-Boxes and PlayStations literally all day, and not interact with anything or anybody unless they have to. Imagination is so important to have and it's sad that with everything we have now, there's less of it. Now, there's probably an app for everything and the imagination is already done for us.

I would say yes! I believe that technology is evil! I had a bad Facebook experience so I am probably not the one to ask! Anyway I would say technology is so advanced that it limits creativity to an extent. I believe that students today lack the effort to be more creative because of technology. I think technology, if used correctly, can be a very useful tool to enhance the creative mind!!!
